I first encountered the name Carlos Celdran from the many write-ups I have been reading from the internet, including his blogsite Walk this Way. Since then, I became one of those many people who wanted to experience a Carlos Celdran Tour.
I am so proud of this loquacious fellow! His mission is very clear: he wanted to change the way we look at Manila, one step at a time. And yes, he is a Filipino. Ouch! I’m hit! Of course I love my country. I am a proud Filipino too. But do I have the same perception as him? Maybe not. Manila is my hometown, my place of birth, and where I received my education. Then again, I will admit, for me, Manila remained to be just a location, the city of my residence. A nice place to live in. That's it. Now, what kind of mentality is that?
I mentioned my intention to join his interesting tour with my gfs, Kitty and Joanna. Surprisingly, they too were aware of Carlos and also agreed to join his tour. So last Thursday, I texted the number from Carlos’ website and booked for a half-day walking tour of Intramuros.
While I am now patiently waiting for our tour schedule this month ('coz I'm really excited to see him in person!), I’d like to share this video I found which documents Carlos Celdran’s Intramuros Tour. Video is courtesy of Clipcast.
