For a change, Paul and myself tried going to this new KTV bar in Makati. Actually, KTV is not a new thing for both of us. We used to frequent the likes of Music 21 and IO bars before with friends and officemates. Both of us just love to sing.

So while we were driving along Bel-air looking for a place to hang-out on a Saturday night, we can’t help but noticed the very bold signage of CenterStage in front of Jupiter Place.

I told Paul, “ Isn’t that Karylle’s KTV business?”. Of course pertaining to one of our local singer / actress / t.v. host, the daughter of Zsa Zsa Padilla. “But why is it also in Jupiter Place?” What happened to IO? Curiousity drived me to convince Paul to take a look inside and try it even for an hour or two.

It’s true. IO is no longer in Jupiter Place. I asked one of the ladies assisting us if the bar has been replaced and she just nod and smile.

Well anyway, as how I observed it, CenterStage is far better than IO. I love how they renovated the place. The room which we occupied is just a Small Room. It can only accommodate 2-4 person. CenterStage boasts about their all-new digital sound system, all-original sound track, computerized song server system, cable t.v., and high definition LCD television.

That night, I was not really into singing and surprisingly, I discovered that you could actually watch movies as an alternative to videoke. That’s so cool! One comment though, I hope next time we visit, there would be more list of songs and movies to watch. Other than that, I thought everything about CenterStage is superb – friendly staff, impressive service, rooms are nicely decorated, and good food choices.
